What is your headline?
GTM Strategies EMEA | Sales Leader | High Performing Teams
What are you passionate about professionally?
I am passionate about driving sustainable growth, building diverse & high performing teams and challenging the status quo.
What are your insights on board effectiveness that you received from going through the ScaleUpBoard program?
I really enjoyed the training, especially the combination of theory and practice via cases and workshops. The session around coaching vs. consulting gave a lot of good insights and practical advice can be applied from day one. The interactions with other members of the program make this training that much more worthwhile.
How do you want to add value to a board?
I have 25 years of experience in Software & Tech companies, from start up to large enterprises, in leading teams and Go To Market strategies. I have learned from mistakes, established market leading partnerships and showed continued success in building high performing teams. It would be great to use this experience in supporting ambitious scale ups as a non-executive board member and also be the sparring partner on sales, GTM Strategies, partnerships, revenue models and the bigger the dream the more important the team!
If you are on or have been on a board, how did you encounter the opportunity?
During my career I have led a European IT Project & Software company in the area of Low Code and ITSM and interacted with a supervisory board for 6+ years. After that I was involved as a substantial interest shareholder of the company and the shareholder meetings and successful sale of the company to a private equity firm.
I am open to join a scale up as a non executive board member, feel free to reach out to have a discovery conversation.
What is the best piece of advice some gave to you?
My personal motto is a quote by Thomas Edison: “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up, the most certain way to succeed is always try one more time.“
I truly believe that success is a matter of time as long as you are persistent, adaptable and focused.
What do you want your impact to be through your work?
I believe that innovation, technology and change are key drivers for sustainable growth and competitiveness. In The Netherlands we have an impressive legacy of innovation. I would like to contribute through my work and efforts to embrace this culture of innovation. This is the best way to improve our healthcare system, our education, our cities and our general society. To lead versus following!
