In the first Art of Scaling webinar of 2022 we will dive into the topic of access to talent. There’s been a lot of talk about the “Great Resignation” recently, so in this hour we will explore what that means to scaling ventures, specifically divided into 3 themes: attracting talent, employer branding, and getting talent to stay.
We have invited Mechteld Daniëls, COO of VIE People, to help us in this discussion. VIE People is a recruitment specialist that caters to scaling companies (and a B Corp!). Their philosophy is that recruitment is not just about attracting talent; it’s about forming the right team, having enough people, looking at the talents you already have in your organization, and then it is very much about the process of recruitment and setting that up in the right way (with profiles and vacancies).
Mechteld will help us answer questions like:
- Attracting talent: If a role is difficult to fill, is there a way to structure the organization in a different way? Should you use more tech tools so people ‘open up’ for different roles? Are there ways to work together with other organisations to grow?
- Employer branding: Is your company actually known in the market? How do people perceive it? If you’re a small company – do you know what your culture values are? Are you communicating them in your recruitment?
- Getting talent to stay: Are your employees satisfied? How satisfied are they? Do they have chances to grow? Are they being heard, and is that why they would like to stay?
